About Tomioka Silk Mill basics information

icon_answer.gifYou can enter the mill at your reserved time without lining up even when the entrance is crowded. In addition, you can enter without having to bring too much cash on you on the day of your visit. Besides, entrance fee is cheaper for visitors who booked a group reservation. About Tomioka Silk Mill Access
icon_answer.gifYou cannot park inside the Tomioka Silk Mill. Please use the nearby municipal parking or coin-operated parking. For details, please see the Access page. ※To Access
icon_answer.gif Please change to the Joshin Electric Railway from JR Takasaki Station West side exit . Get off at Joshu-Tomioka Station (a journey of approximately 40 minutes, 790 yen for adults) and walk 15 minutes. In addition, there is a taxi office inside Joshu-Tomioka Station. Tomioka Silk Mill Municipal Parking
icon_answer.gifIt is available 24 hours a day. ※To Access
icon_answer.gifApproximately 5 minutes walk from the pay and display parking lots. Approximately 20 minutes walk from the free parking lot.
icon_answer.gifYou cannot park and leave your vehicule. However, if you are in a microbus, you can park it at the Tomioka Station East free parking lot (approx. 20 min walk). Please contact private bus parking lots for information on closer parking options for buses larger than microbuses.
icon_answer.gifThere are one or two wheelchairs at the pay and display municipal parking lot. Please ask to a staff member (guard) when you arrive. You may have to wait as the number of wheelchair is limited.

Tomioka Silk Mill On-site Equipment and Services
icon_answer.gifYou can find a shop and a silk gallery. Please take a look at the silk products, souvenirs and books sold in these two places.
icon_answer.gifWe have 7 of them. Please ask a staff member if you need them. You may have to wait as the number of wheelchair is limited.

icon_answer.gifYou can. The ground is basically paved but there are places with steps as well as unpaved places as it is a former factory. Please be careful. Please check the map of the mill for multipurpose restrooms.
