Tomioka Art Museum/Ichiro Fukuzawa Museum

The museum was founded on August 8, 1995, inside the Momiji Park located on the hills of Kamikuroiwa/Kurokawa Districts.It exhibits many important works created by contemporary and local writers as well as historical, archaeological and folkloric documents. There is also a museum located nextdoor which exhibits the work of Ichiro Fukuzawa, a local artist of Tomioka.

Special Exibition Room
This room is used for projects and special exhibitions
Local document exhibition room
Exhibition room for the national history museum department. Exhibition related to the local history and culture of Tomioka.
Permanent exhibition room
Exhibitions of collections change few times per year depending on the themes.
Fukuzawa Exibition Room 1
We Exibit the work of Fukuzawa so as to make it easy to understand the change in his theme.

Recreate the studio and see how it is produced

Adult : 210 yen / University, high school student: 100 yen / Junior high school student and younger : Free / One person in a Group of 20 people and more : 160 yen
Note: There is an extra charge during plan exhibitions
Note: Admission is free for any person having a certificate of physical disability, a nursing notebook or mental patient health welfare notebook as well as for one accompaning person.
